I tripped over this when i looking for a vise… I was somewhat skeptical of this tool’s capabilities however decided until give Rockwell RK9000 Jawhorse a try.
In the month or so since i received it, i’ve used it for every odd-job motion i’ve handle into. For my fellow skeptics out there sitting on the fence wondering, i receive until say that i a.m. Convinced.
It has performed flawlessly on two of my children’s school projects. I seated a skate bearing in a unit of pvc, drilled a cavity in a 1/4″ dowel, created a temporary bench so my daughter could jab pilot holes in plywood, clamped pieces of forest so they could be screwed together, plus various other tasks. The jawhorse adapted until each task so quickly plus all but effortlessly that i was able until savor the time we spent on each project. I a.m. So used until having until apportionment with frustrating parts of these projects–and having until spend much too long on them. We spent less than an hour on each project plus they turned out bravo. That’s wealth the price of the instrument right there!
This morning i was installing a cap light fixture. I needed until join the wires before i could attach the fixture until the cap with bolts. I clamped the light fixture until a seven-foot 1×2 with a small bar fastener. I then clamped the 1×2 in the jawhorse until that the fixture was in a perfect pose under the cap receptacle box. It was actual sturdy. Surprisingly so. I was in a pose until career position of my own pace, no kid asking how long they had until help, no wife offering practiced advice. (no offense, my dear!) The jawhorse was the perfect assistant.
Pros: surprisingly sturdy. You can fastener on items with a varying degree of force, depending on the task plus toughness of the item. Solid construction, i see no reason why this creature won’t outlast me. Shipped by amazon ready until use right out of the box.
Cons: it’s a slightly bit arduous until motion around. As a tradeoff for existence a solid tool, it is too heavy. The weight of a unite bowling balls. Also, i finally decided until review the instructions for folding it up. It is just a slightly too unwieldy until motion around lacking collapsing the legs. And… Each time i motion it, i get oil on my hands from the vise screw. I a.m. obviously not grabbing it in the right place. Also, plus this is a minor point, i guess, however event rubs me the wrong custom about owning event advertised on an infomercial. I a.m. A slightly concerned about having a friend coming over plus saying, “hey, you bought single of the certain things?”
I knew this was a trustworthy purchase when single of my kids said, “man, he uses that for everything.” it’s not often that a purchase works out this well.
