Nimmanhaemin Rd, Nimman is Chiang Mai's chicest neighbourhood. Since the mid-00s the kilometer-long road between Huay Kaew and Suthep has attracted trendy java shops, natty boutiques, hot and coolheaded night spots and some of the city's most modernistic apartments. If you want to exist seen – or want to ticker people who want to exist seen – this is probably the spot for you.
Night Life Recommend
The Scamp Club – where it completely started! Originally a little bar, this is directly a hip venue with live music, sushi and terribly coolheaded tikes in a chilled water, steel and glass setting.
Warm Up – supposedly the hottest spot in town. The crowds here chill out to funk and jazz in the outdoor area, while inside the beats proceed a trendy crowd on their feet. Sushi bar and a full restaurant, equally considerably equally anything you may think of to drink.
Shopping Recommend
Nimman Promenade – a couple of alleys lined with little boutiques selling flock of strange and eye-catching object from art and antiques to manner and jewellery. Decently succeeding to Wawee on the occident incline of the street.
Soi 1 – this soi succeeding to Rincome hotel is lined with stores featuring the best of Chiang Mai's hand-made furniture, arts and crafts.
Kasem Store – Not the original location, only perchance the most accessible. Kasem Store has been purveying fine foodstuffs, both local and imported, to Chiang Mai for decades. The Nimman leg carries completely the usuals.
Gerard Collection – showroom for a local exporter of finely-made and distinctive bamboo furniture. Elegant, modernistic designs, durable and sustainable too.
